Lucullian delights

Gravatar Looks beautiful, I love the color of the onion inside. I too add balsamic to my onions when I caramelize them.

Gravatar wow your photos are awesome ! I like this recipe they look delicious

Gravatar i did all my packing up of decorations, lights and wrappings last night too. while it always makes me sad to see the lights gone from the houses, i much admit that my whole house looks so clean and fresh now and that makes me happy!

Gravatar I felt like you Ilva..I have no children at home, but they do visit, I only had a tree up and few lights around the two of the windows..glad I did it, but was in two minds.

Love reading your blog, especially for new recipes

Gravatar A delightful dish! Healthy and tasty!

I just put up the tree and decorations for the kids as well, but they are getting older - I think they will accept a small, table-top one next year.

Gravatar Only you Ilva could make a bit of onion and some raffia look like a work of art.

Gravatar Hi Ilva...Not that I am lazy after years of putting them up, now that there is only the two of us normally for christmas, it just seemed right to starting toneing things down abit..as long as the tree was up. I even have new decorations for my tree..years ago it used to be little wooden tree decs from Germany, covered chocolate coins, and all things for children. Now I have lovely glass baubles, and white and pink ones..!!

Gravatar Oh Ilva, you make me giggle in the middle of the night! You "getting lazier and lazier"? Yeah, sure, we so believe it! *giggle*
You are not getting lazier, you are shifting your priorities!!!!!
Hugs!

Gravatar stacey-Stacey-you are right, it is pretty low in fat, maybe I should add it to HotM! Thanks!

Di- Thank you! It looks at you, the onion eye!

anne-yes I am sorry for accusing you of something you are not. Please forgive me! As to the decorations, I am liberating myself from the weight of tradition, next year I am buying new decorations for the tree to make it more fun to do! Yours sound lovely!

merisi- OF COURSE, it is changing priorities I am doing. Thanks, I would never have realized it on my own!

Gravatar I have always really liked Christmas decorations, but my husband can take them or leave them. We had people over for a pre-Christmas lunch, which gave us an excuse to put the tree up, and even he got involved. As you say, although you may not like the commercialism or don't like making a fuss, occasions like this need to be marked and celebrated, otherwise you have a very arid life indeed...

Gravatar finally tried it (with some delay) and the taste was absolutely lovely, with a very nice flavor from the thyme and the red onion...

Gravatar I like simple recipes and this is not just easy to make but DELICIOUS. Thanks for sharing!
