Lucullian delights

Gravatar "but I crave more. More people with the same type of experiences like mine, with opinions that make me think, people who appreciate my own experiences and views and who make me discover new things." I couldn't have said it better, I feel the same Ilva. Which is why I'm grateful for this online blogging community and for bloggers like you. Gorgeous photo as usual.

Gravatar Ilva, I hope I only appeared in nice dreams You're so kind!
Sorry for not making it to Stockholm last weekend - I was on the west coast of Estonia, trying to survive the heatwave. But I'm sure we will meet one day soon - and I'm very much looking forward to it!!

Gravatar That is exactly it. I've been trying to say it but hadn't gotten my mind around it yet.
Blogging also helps me know there are so many wonderful people in this world that I don's see or get to know in the "news".
Even though we may share a lot it's that "make me discover new things" and things that "make me see the world and my self differently" part that is so exciting and meaningful to me about this entire blog thing.

Gravatar As usual, Ilva, you put in words what we are all thinking ... I sometimes worry that the cyberworld is a little too real for me, that cyberfriends are replacing real ones - but, in fact, it isn't so, cyberfriendships are the icing on the cake, the only way to have such a wide group of people thinking the same sort of way but stretching they way I think. And I have a much better understanding of the world around me - knowing small details about domestic life in other countries really makes you understand other points of view and other ways of doing things.

Sorry to be rather long-winded!

Joanna

Gravatar You have said it so well! That's just how I feel too. Not that I'm not living in a small city, but so many of the people here are consumed with things I don't care about or agree with that they seem quite uninteresting to me. On the other hand, so many of my blogging friends seem so interesting. I'd love to meet Pille, and you two of course!

BTW, I got a new computer and your photos look even better on the new monitor! Just amazing. (Really loving the computer, even with Windows Vista which I had heard mixed reviews about. And I got a huge monitor! The amazing Bradley set everything up for me and transferred all my data.)

Gravatar I feel like all the rest, your words match our feelings. The blogging community, while I am still fairly new to it, is a way to make the world "smaller" and to be able to exchange ideas, thoughts and feelings with others - some even on the other side of the world. How exciting is that?!

Gravatar I think you touched upon a real treasure truth here, everyone agrees so much with you. Living in tiny town, staying at home... I so know what you mean! (But I guess you knew that already)

Gravatar Jeni has certainly hit on a jewel when she talks about the blogging community has made the world smaller and I agree but in making the world smaller it has also enlarged it exponentially. Without the internet, what is the posibility of us ever meeting? With the internet, it's a sure thing.

Gravatar Ditto what they all said. I love my blogging friends!

Gravatar Hey. I love you, Ilva.

Gravatar I live in a big city, full of interesting people and diversions, but I feel the same way.

Gravatar That is so cool. I've never dreamt of another blogger. Something nice to look forward too.

Gravatar I knew it, I'm not alone!! I think many of us started out blogging without realizing what we were going to receive from it! At least I did. It's so much more than just publishing a piece of writing or some photos and I'm really happy to have met all of you! I hope that I at least will meet you in my dreams!

Gravatar I agree about blogging. It has opened a whole new world to me, interesting and full of intriguing people. It is a whole new way of connecting and I feel like it has enriched my life in very many ways.

Gravatar Ha! I, too, dream of other bloggers recently! How reassuring to know I'm not the only one! And your pictures, my dear! Your pictures are simply amazing! You have such an eye!

Gravatar My sentiments exactly!

Gravatar Very well said (and photographed).

Gravatar Oh there are more of you! Thanks a lot for appearing here by my side!
