Lucullian delights

Gravatar I think I'll be cooking up a batch of chickpeas soon and will definitely try this out

Gravatar looks very delicious ! will try it next week !
It's funny how people react when there is an occasion to help... I'm just back from shopping, and here this Arab lady (probably from the Gulf) with her maid... the maid had to put everything in the bags and of course the "madame" didn't help at all !! I hate this people !!! I know not all of them are like this grrrrr

Gravatar I like this recipe, Ilva. And that first photo is gorgeous! Love the pink

Gravatar Oh, don't feel lonely, Ilva! Those passersby may not have realized what mess you were cleaning up. I have caught myself not paying attention, occopied with my own thoughts, inadvertently not asking if somebody needed help. Leaves one feeling not too good about oneself either.

The other day I had one of those "absent moments", doing some last minute grocery shopping on my way home, tired, and when I came home my wallet was gone. I had just gotten 200 Euros from the ATM, my Visa card's gone too. Upon reconstructing the moments when I last used it, I realized that I had absentmindedly not paid enough attention. This time I paid for this, other times others, unfortunately.

Gravatar That is a lonely moment but also true that if you've done the work then it's done and you don't need help.
This would be a great use for a lone chicken breast!

Gravatar This sounds great. I'd be tempted to throw in a handful of chopped olives and maybe a sprinkle of good grated peccorino or parmesan

Gravatar As delectable as it appears, the "tepid" salad of chickpeas and chicken--lovely alliteration there--isn't the star of these photos--the vibrant carmine hues are. Beautiful!

Gravatar delicious!!! that looks great, perfect for spring!

Gravatar ceci, fave and lupini are food of south of italy, in north of italy are'nt food of our taste. We like polenta (maiscream) risotto (rice with vegetable) e pesce (fish)
