What character these all have. I have been wanting to put some of the pictures I have of windows and doors too, as they are just so fascinating and I think they could tell tales.

My hometown museum's gift shop sells a print that shows only the doors of historic buildings around town. You should try framing your doors together! They're beautiful.

I love windows and doors. To me they represent portals, transitions, entrances to new things. Maybe you are in a transition of sorts?

That lost shot really speaks to me. There is no way that one could tell if it were in Italy or on an island in the Caribbean. Wonderful!

Hey hey - I love the pistachio colour of the last set of shutters. I know what you mean about doors, there is always something of the "where does that lead to" about them, that captures my imagination. ;o)

A delight to the eye!

I've always loved details such as these windows and doors. The have a timeworn quality and distinction which is sorely lacking in most of their modern equivalents.

I fear that vinyl and plywood won't develop the same character and patina...
