Lucullian delights

Gravatar Ciao,
I'm a small, very small, partner in a website. I noticed your blog site and became a little curious about your location. My parents immigrated from Italia many years ago, but we still have family in Toscana. We visit whenever we can. They live in Pisoia. Specifically in Spazzavento and Barile. Are you familiar with this area??? I imagine you are. By the way, I truely enjoyed your creative food fotos.
Saluti,
Marco

Gravatar Thanks a lot! I actually live very close to Spazzavento and Barile, it's on my way in to Pistoia!

Gravatar Ciao,
You and your husband Marco don't happen to own a rental villa in Sarteano do you? We visited Tuscany 2 1/2 years ago and stayed in Sarteano in a wonderful old home tucked back up into the hillside. You seem familiar and your description of Marco and your family do, too!

Gravatar Your blog is so great, I love the pictures and the recipes. My husband, 5 month old girl and I are moving to Italy in about 3 weeks. I plan to document our move via my blog! We will be in Florence then to a small town in the South. Fantastic blog, really inspiring!

Gravatar Hi, I really like your blog! You might want to correct that first phrase, there's a typo in it ("as" instead of "has").

Gravatar Hi! I guess you are a very nice person, because you love cooking You give very interesting recipes with wonderful pictures. Thank you for publishing them in internet!

Gravatar Il tuo blog è bellissimo, l'ho aggiunto ai miei preferiti!
Anche io vivo nella meravigliosa Toscana

Gravatar Ilva- this Bio makes for a very interesting read. I am so encouraged that you are exhibiting your photos- they are art in themselves and deserve to be displayed! :o)

Gravatar I just found your blog, and it is beautiful! I am going to be writing soon about our visit to my brother in law's in Ascoli Piceno. Italy is so wonderful, and I love reading about all of your food!

Gravatar Hello

I just found your blog as I was looking for a savory jam recipe for figs and your page came up. I'm delighted to find you and to see that you too have a degree in poetry, as do I with a passion for food. My grandmother lived on the island of Capri in the thirties, of which I write about in my new book, My Nepenthe: Bohemian Tales of Food, Family, and Big Sur.

My stepmother is also Italian, via Tunisia and France. It's been too long since I've been to Italy but hoping to return within this year on a new book I'm to work on.

I look forward to reading your posts, and getting myself that much closer to the Italian life. I currently live in the SF Bay area.

Ciao-Nani (Romney)

Gravatar I meant to also say-have you read Tessa Kiros' books? She's a Swede married to an Italian and writes wonderfully about Italian food, but also about
food from her home country and the places she's lived around the globe.

Her book Falling Cloudberries is stunning and very inspiring.

Nani
