Lucullian delights

Gravatar Oh... that soup is just gorgeous. I love the flavor combination, which I would never have thought of in a million years. I love coming to your blog for truly new ways of thinking about food. And life, too.

Gravatar What a beautiful summer soup! And, as always, your presentation rocks. xoxo

Gravatar I never thought about the correlation between gardens and our state of mind...but now that you say that it feels somehow correct. And, oh dear, I have some weeds to pull!

Gravatar How pretty!
I wonder if you know that the author Annie Proulx had one very young character in her book, The Shipping News, call apricots "fairy bottoms." I still laugh.
xx

Gravatar So many levels here Ilva . . .
That top apricot is the best happy face I've ever seen and then you talk about neglecting a garden but cutting down a willow. It seems life is always coming at us from all directions - happy sad, simple overwhelming . . .
That when your soup helps us keep it together and then put it back together! I really need some of that soup - I really need a lot of putting together right now!! Go heavy on the ginger in the soup for me please

Gravatar ann-Thanks! So inspiring to hear, really!

Karina-Thank you so much, big hg!

Jeni- oh the weeds, the weeds....

cookie-oh no i didn't but now that I look at the photo with YOUR eyes....

Tanna-oh, we should go off somewhere then - flour, water and an oven!

Gravatar Going off that sounds right!

Gravatar What a fabulously complex and bizzarre subject to write a thesis on!

Gravatar wow, Ilva, that's really nice. I wish I had a tree like that. Great soup.

Gravatar I would think that there are connections all the time. It makes sense that what is going on in your life would play out in what seems to be a meditative pastime for you.

Gravatar tanna-yes lts!

Paul-sounds perfectly normal to me but then I am partial!

Labelga-oh I should have dug it up and sent it to you!

melissa- don't know about gardening as a meditative pastime, it feels more like a MUST nowadays but I agree on that it could be ne. a very good one as that!

Gravatar This soup looks wonderful and refreshing. Lovely pictures.

Gravatar Lovely Soup. I love how simple it is!
