The Grand Canyon? Now I'm dead jealous. Really, I am.
Congratulations to your daughter and future son-in-law - weddings can be fun if space hoppers, bouncy castles and bucking sheep are involved ....

if you like paper maps RAVEN MAPS in the U.S. are quite good. Every last little detail, so you can get in some abandoned mines, trading posts, wells (might come in handy), Indian Reservation boundaries (no alcohol allowed)etc. They also indicate topography, unlike computer screen maps. And they show the 11 hundred switchbacks in gruesome detail rather than a vaguely squiggly line. They have some good state maps for the areas you're going.
(maps.... I'm crazy about them, better than a novel for me....)
Hope you have a good time on your trips. Reading your blogs is always entertaining. And I'm with you on the twits (and twats) on the highways....
