The reason for the change of heart is clean. you mention it. USA and the UN treating to withhold aid. American and the UN or the western world for the most part use the wealth to shape the politial and personal life of countries aroudn the world particularly in Africa. Its a different version of christant approach, where they provide you with food if you denounce your God and convert to their God. Johnson I believe as a Liberian had no choice but to change her mind. if she is going to improve the current state of Liberia she will need the of the world power. Its improvement at all cost.
President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf was not pressured by the U.S. or anyone else to request the extradition of Charles Taylor. I'll be writing about this soon. It is important (especially for Liberians) to work with the facts and not continue to expound rumours that mislead people about the strategies and intentions of U.S. foreign policy toward Africa.

On the Charles Taylor affair, it doesn't really matter whether Liberia acted under duress or not; Taylor is a presentand eminent danger to Liberia, its people and the general sub region of west Africa. I just pray he doesn't escape (as he did while in captivity in the US many years ago) from the UN forces and start messing around again.
