There can be little doubt now that Mr. Obasanjo is trying to manipulate the constitution (or amend the constitution, if I may use the politically correct term) to extend his stay in office. Honestly, this is disgraceful.

While I do not consider Mr. Atiku worthy to govern Nigeria, I very much welcome his opposition. Someone has got to put an end to this madness. The politics will surely heat up to boiling point. It is shameful of Mr. Obasanjo ’s government to have even considered a third-term in the first place.

The unfolding story makes these politicians look like kids fighting for a piece of a pie.

Gravatar agreed mr. pres has 3rd term plans but truth be told, we don't support mr atiku either. he is only interested in his own political agenda to succeed baba in 2007. This is not about nigeria but the ambitions of 2 selfish individuals.
And has someone wondered why atiku has not resigned from the govt he so dislikes?

Gravatar Atiku, to resign...David com'on,where have you seen a Nigerian resigning... even if all of the odds are sgainst him, he will never resign...

Having said that, I think Atiku has every right like every other Nigerian opposed to the third term, to voice out his opinion(lets brush aside for now, whether it is selfish or not)...
I commend Atiku's courage...
