Gravatar Ah, guilt and martyrdom are certainly not exclusive to academia (I work in tech industry, but my sister is a university professor). Part of the Protestantic work ethic?

I like what Curt says too. There is no good way to compartmentalize ourselves into buckets. For instance, business people spend a lot of time on looking at "innovation", usually exclusively at work. But creativity isn't just "switch" we turn on and off, it permeates our entire lives.

You'd probably enjoy the concepts in the book, The Seven-Day Weekend. Excerpt at http://www.inc.com/articles/ 2004...dayweekend.html

Gravatar You should give David Allen's materials at try. His methods blend the work and outside work in a way that is workable and gives you a framework to manage it all together. His books Getting Things Done is excellent. Check out his web-site at www.davidco.com. He also has a blog.

Dean

Gravatar Oops! I see you have the link on David Allen. My bad.
