I really wanted to like Red Bull, because I think the commercials are cute, but it just never worked for me. I was disappointed. I am glad it works for you, though!
sometimes the solution to my grading woes is regis and kelly. if i turn on the tube and they're on, i try my hardest to ignore their asseninity, so i focus on my grading better.
But it tastes like cough syrup. Crappy cough syrup.
Evil Amway (now known as Quixtar, I think) has a line of energy drinks called XS that taste a bit better. They have a bit of caffeine, but are mostly B-vitamins. Of course, you could just take B-vitamins!
Disclaimer: I only know this because a beloved relative sells the stuff. Go figure.

I like the taste of Red Bull. But it doesn't amp me up the way the price promises it will (and that's the only thing that might justify the price).
well, I wouldn't say I drink it for the taste. Though it's better than it used to be, according to my gf who was drinking it on the west coast years ago before it was hip.
For me, it provides a kick that's different from just plain ol' caffeine -- keeps me not just awake, but feeling sharp and happy. (of course, it's more fun if you're out dancing, but it works the same no matter what I'm doing ...)
It's caffeine, B vitamins, and the amino acid taurine. Amino acids rock, and they're the building blocks of life! (I supplement with a couple for various reasons)

I've heard people talking about using rb to get through their MA theses. I've thought about trying it but haven't just yet. But looking at this stack of bluebooks, I think I may just have to give it a go tonight. Hope the sugar free isn't too bad!
I use RB for cross-country drives to keep me alert, but never tried it for grading.... Sometimes, you've just gotta alter your state of consciousness to make it through the stack!!
