Oh, I love playing in the mud. Ground here is still covered in snow but it's so great to see photos of mud and remember that spring will come eventually....

Bwahaha!
A couple of hours before our Superbowl party on Sunday, I took our baby out for some "work off the excess energy frisbee." When I came back to the house, I got J. to wrap the baby up in a towel and carry him straight upstairs to the bathtub. Just rinsing the Maryland clay out of his paws and belly took about ten minutes... (I wasn't going to let my long morning of housecleaning go to waste with muddy paws all over everything!).

Ha! We had a mud festival for a while, too, and with cats this involves wet muddy feet that have been in the litter box tracking litter everywhere (hey - you were just OUTSIDE, why come IN to use the litter box?). There's nothing like doggy mud joy, though.

Ah, mud festival, and its summer equivalent, dust festival.
Seasonal highlights here include the festival plant (paws planted firmly on mother by way of mud-gathering interlude) and sneaking into bed direct from the yard while no-one's paying attention.
