That is *so* cute! My 10-year-old dog is very similar - likes to referee and will sometimes snap at pushy puppies - but occasionally he, too, will take a shine to one other dog. Usually it's an equally-elderly dog, but he does have this thing for standard poodles.

He used to have a nice fleecy bed, too, but my younger dog ate it. Now he has an old down comforter folded up in a corner that only he can crawl into.
