Well, I have to say I think both candidates fail the brain test, as I'm being forced to vote for the lesser of two evils...in other words, a socialist or a socialist lite. Either way, we're screwed. There is no difference between the two. Hell, if we're forced to vote socialist, let's vote for the best socialist available.
You do realize who led the way for the socialist, pork-laden (we'll know their names????) bailout plan and wants to add another $300 billion on top of it, who still thinks Amnesty is a good idea, who still thinks McCain-Feingold got money out of politics? I'm supposed to be excited about all that?
I'm still wrestling with whether to vote socialist lite or write-in, but I know the issues and I know how I'm voting the rest of the way. As far as the POTUS is concerned, either way, we're getting socialism shoved down our throats whether we like it or not. The phone lines at the Senate and House were jammed with people complaining about that galactically stupid bailout, yet here we are.
I reject both of these clowns. My feeling is, if Obama wins because of people like me, it tells the blue blood Republicans that only a real conservative has a chance to win, and the country will be so fed up with Jimmy Carter II that we'll have a chance to take it all back in 2012.
Does that still mean I fail the brain test? If so, then super. Flunk me for not following the herd.

Never any hard feelings! You feel strongly and I respect that. I feel just as strongly and hopefully....
Obama is a trainwreck without his mentor, Mussolini, to keep him on time. My feeling is that McCain is more answerable to the electorate, especially with Palin on the ticket, while Obama is answerable to those we can't see and will never know their names. Socialists are that way.
BTW, rant all you want. I'll listen to you with respect because even when I make you angry you are still respectful to me.

No hard feelings, but I have to disagree. McCain would not be my first choice, but he is a 100 fold better than the alternative. What's the alternative? A full blown socialist signing legislation written by a Pelosi House and a Reid led filibuster proof Senate. Couple that nightmare with the sad realization of Obama appointing the next three SCOTUS justices. If that doesn't concern you nothing will.
