This is beautiful! Thank you so much. I have never responded to a blog before and am not sure I am doing it right. I will be reading this one again and reflecting on it, as with your other writing, but I wanted to specifically thank you for "My Grandma and Quan Yin" from way back in 2005. I am planning to begin studying Reiki at the end of January and have begun to feel about Kwan Yin much as you do. I bought a light green jade pendant of her in which she holds the vase and willow branch and feel that my deceased mother, although she, too, would be skeptical, would be happy for me. It's amazing how holding the physical image of her helps, isn't it? Your rose quartz is exquisite. Wish I could see it in person. Do you by any chance to Reiki? Hope to hear from you (if that is how this blog works!). If not, thank you again for your beautiful writing.
