This dancing of which you speak. What is it?
I saw Fela in concert once, after a couple of hours I had to leave because it was so relentlessly intensely good.

That 'dancing' might've appeared as drunk/stoned swaying, but it felt good in 1984. Fela mastered the sloooow rising groove, only reaching the point at around the 8 min mark, presumably to accomodate exponentially slowed reaction times in a stupefied audience.
These days I feel every sympathy for the judge who once asked who the Beatles were. I rarely listen to music since my boxing training tape went awol and I can't work any of the machines around here now anyway. Nice to hear someone doing politics though! Hotboy
