I meet a lot of deep-woods Red Staters, and I've never met *anyone* who thinks Saddam perpetuated 9-11. I don't know if the surveyors are polling only in Brooklyn or if they are making this up, but there's something suspicious about these polls.

On the other hand, it is true that America went to war in Europe because of a persistant (but untrue belief) that Germany had actively aided Japan in its attack on Pearl Harbor. My father readily confirmed this when I asked him about it.

I agree, CMAR...I have never met *anyone* in the US who believes that Saddam was involved in 9/11. I don't trust these polls.

They view it as part of a greater struggle against "Those darkies there."
That is how Iraq ties into 9/11

Think back to those lobotomized firemen in NYC, screaming for blood after 9/11, and George W. Bush gassing them up with a megaphone.
