I think that Israelis and Palestinians should both pay the same price for water. The bigger issue, however, is who gets the cashflows from selling water from the mountain aquifer. I think the Palestinian Authority should insist that all the cashflows derived from selling water should go to them.
Mojo, the big picture in Palestine/Israel is a massive shortage of water. As a result, Israel is building some of the world's largest water desalinization plants to purify ocean water. As you can imagine, water from these desalinization plants is very expensive. As a result farming is being phased out in Israel and Palestine. Both Israelis and Palestinians are going to have to learn skills applicable for low water input goods and services; while phasing out of water intensive goods and services.
This is one reason Palestine is going to need a lot of global help in getting their private sector moving. Of course, I don't think Palestinians can expect any help from the beloved "Arab brothers." Rather, America, Europe, China, Japan, India, Korea, Malaysia, Turkey, and other non arabs are going to have to step up and help.

Ignoring the Green Revolution

This was particularly disturbing...
"Ibrahim Shamsani, a 30-year-old merchant in Ramallah, has been closely following the post-election uproar in Iran that has left tens of reformist protesters dead. "No problem. Let them finish off every one who is against Ahmadinejad," he says."

CH, saw your piece. Why is it so troubling? Many tens of millions of Iranians do back Ahmenijad, just less than 63%. Many non Iranians back him too. They are free to express their opinion.
Right now the Sunni Arab world is anti Ahmenijad. But are they anti Ahmenijad for the right reasons; or because of anti Shia and anti Persian suspicion?
What I would ask the pro Ahmenijad Palestinians is why Ahmenijad can only get 2 of the top 12 Marjas (Grand Ayatollahs) in Quom to publicly acknowledge he won the election? Is part of the reason they back Ahmenijad because they see Ahmenijad as anti cleric, and because they view the Shia Quom clerics with suspicion?

[mojo] "The brave Arab resistance will do something about this. They are right around the corner, our brave resistance that fights for justice and self-destermination!"
Good point. I'm sure that folks like Saddam Hussein will be along shortly to provide money and aid to the Palesinians, like they used to. Oh, wait. Your Amreeki heroes got rid of him, and managed to destroy Iraq so that Iraqis can't even provide for themselves, never mind the Palestinians.
Oh, well.
Maybe you could send a special request to Uncle Bandar for help. You know, if you can catch him when he's not on a sleepover at GWB's ranch, that is.

I wonder if kill-Iraqi Pakistani Agent Anand managed to petition Uncle Bandar to help the Palestinians? Wait, maybe he will ask US Congress to approve more US-funded weapons to Israel! You know the same weapons that Israel uses to uh, keep the Palestinians, uh, "safe" with?

Encouraging young men to blow up their bodies with ball barrings in crowds of teenagers waiting in line for the discotheque does not help the Palestinians get more water. Saddam's money and "aid" simply lead to more terrorism, war and hatred, as dictatorship usually does.
A democratic Iraq is far more likely to help Palestinians and Israelis form a more peaceful and equitable society. This is obvious.

Oddly enough, when American money is sent to Israel by the billion, and Palestinians are killed by the thousands ... that doesn't lead to war and hatred and terror. Because the disgusting hypocrites like K are always ready to jump into the breach to explain why Israeli bombs killing Palestinian kids is not terror but Palestinian bombs are.

Bombings will continue indefinitely, you don't understand that the Iraq war is part of a wider conflict.
The real war is between USA and Shaykh Osama bin Laden, and your country is just 1 theater.
In your shortsighted attempts to score some ministries in Iraq, you wound up taking sides in a global battle.

Dolly, AQ linked networks and the global Takfiri menace are going down. 91% of Afghans have a negative view of the Taliban. Throughout the muslim world, OBL is viewed with contempt.
OBL's first massacre was against the Shia of Gilgit, Kashmir, in 1988. But now it isn't only the Shia who are fighting him. So are many Sunni Arabs. The Sunni Arabs of Iraq hate the Takfiris and will fight them to the end; so will the IA and IP, even outside Iraq's boundaries.
Run Takfiri run! But where will you go? Where will you hide? Your enemies are everywhere. And they won't rest until they take every last one of you out. Your enemies exist even within your own mosques and own families. There is no place to run too. Prepare yourself to meet your maker.

Of course I took the side of the US. I am an American, after all. The US gave us freedom, when Iraq, led by Saddam, made us live in fear of death by killing our relatives. The US finally removed him from his throne in 2003. You expected me to take his side? Did you expect me to take the side of people who blow up markets?

Throughout the muslim world, OBL is viewed with contempt.
He is not running for an election. What's needed is a very small percentage of faithful muslims, and that is enough to throw a wrench in your tyranny.
Case in point, the 19 heroes of the Blessed Raids on New York and Washington
You expected me to take [Saddam's] side? Did you expect me to take the side of people who blow up markets?
No. I expected you to:
1. not actively go out of your way to sacrifice your life to help the Crusaders and kill your own countrymen.
End of list

I searched all over the Quran. Nowhere does it say the keys to Paradise will be handed to Osama bin Laden. Nowhere does it say OBL will be given the power to judge men's souls. He's killed thousands of Muslim children. Maimed thousands more. His own God condemns him to an eternity in hell. All his flowery propaganda won't change that Dolly.

Former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter discusses the withdrawal caveats that could keep U.S. troops in Iraq indefinitely, the Iraqi army’s inability to maintain order, Maliki’s pursuit of short-term oil profits at the expense of Iraq’s future, the Obama administration’s lack of moral courage for a messy withdrawal and how the acceptance of U.S. funding by Iranian opposition groups destroys their credibility.

The so-called "antiwar" left has gotten just about everything it has ever wanted: Obama, Franken, 60 seats in the senate, "engagement" with the bloody theocracy in Iran, potential "torture" investigations, and so on and so forth.
What I can't figure out is why these "liberals" (I put quotations coz they are anything but) are so angry. They are angrier than they have ever been, despite what you'd think would be good news for them.
I can imagine Red Pill foaming at the mouth when Iraqis held sucessful and peaceful elections earlier this year. I can even imagine her spitting on her computer in rage as Iraqi heroes took control of Baghdad.

Maybe Guantanamo has them pissed C.H.. Obama wants it closed, but Americans don't want militant Chechens living next door. If their home countries won't take them back and there isn't enough evidence to convict them, that's exactly what would happen too. “The so-called "antiwar" left”
Yes, it’s funny how those on the "antiwar" left” are a bunch of non-content haters. These demented nihilists have no purpose or meaning in their life, so the only feeling that they can contrive is from the vacant hate filled expression of their creed which compels them to lash out at normal people by regurgitating the simple minded themes that they were indoctrinated with so long ago. It is interesting how ‘free thinking’ in now a thought crime for the hegemonic leftist masses that conform to this secular religion. All you can do is feeling sorry for them.
