I like knitting doilies too. I never end up blocking them though. They just sit in a bundle waiting for someone to do something with them. The last doily I made though I totally goofed up the end when I was casting off and ruined it. I was so disapopinted I threw it down and never returned.
I do love knitting them though. I'm going to have to look for that book, do you remember where you bought it?

Oh My Goodness!!
what a beautiful lace doily.
I made a wash cloth one and then a tiny one on size 0 needles with crochet thread.
I got so frustrated that I ended up making a new stitch pattern for the end row just to finish it off and swore off trying to make those again.
Yours is really very pretty, I may have to give it another try soon.
Congratulations on your new house!
I am so excited for you!
It sounds so wonderful.
P.s. I tagged you on my blog.

Oh you are amazing! I keep looking wistfully at the patterns but I'm *SO* bad at that center start thing...
Lovely, lovely! I expect I'll probably continue to crochet mine though

The doily is beautiful. Glad you decided to stick with it. I bet you will start another one too.

I've fought with patterns like that before. Counting your stitches and using markers is the way to go. It's beautiful and will look so nice in your new house.

They are just like mini round lace shawls and I bet don't take as long! Yours is gorgeous with the beautiful flower in the center.

It's a gorgeous doily but probably too difficult for my knitting skills. I have crocheted many doilies but never tried to knit one. Framing is a very good idea. I framed one that my Mother knit as a keepsake.

That is a beautiful doily! I am a sucker for doilies too. I have crocheted many, but you are a strong woman to knit one! Wonderful job!
