Agreed with your assessment 100%. Unfortunately the TBOX bar crawl always starts at Casey Moran's.
On another note, all hail STP. They have reunited and are playing at Charter One Pavilion on May 22nd! Huzzah! Any of you bartenders ever see a show there before?

When I see a giant 'one in, one out' line snaking out of Casey Moran's I just get angry.
Re: STP. Have never been to Charter One, but you can bet your ass I'm going to that show.

I saw them at their "final tour" back in what...like '02 or something? At the Riviera. Man, that was an amazing show. While they might not be the best band to grace God's green earth, Weiland is probably one of the best showmen in the history of music.
Between Radiohead, STP, and a possible Zeppelin reunion...I'm going to pull out a loan on my 401(k) to go to some kick ass concerts this summer.

Is there an Applebees or TGI Fridays near Wrigley?

There's probably a Denny's somewhere around there. You could go there. It's quiet and lonely, although your chances of being murdered in a holdup are quite significant.

There's an IHOP a few blocks north and east of the stadium.

There's also a Taco Bell right across from the stadium.

I am frankly surprised that Full Shilling has not been mentioned yet...unless I haven't seen the post. Full Shilling...ye of the FREE HOT DOG 1hr prior and 1hr after each home game. I don't know how you can top that? Oh yea, they have that little Mexican dude running around in a hot dog costume.

I don't live in Chicago, but there's a joint called Duke of Perth on Clark that's pretty cool. It's quite a trek from the ballpark, so it's probably not considered Wrigleyville. They have kickass fish n' chips, the best I've ever had. It's a Scottish Pub, which is interesting. My wife thought it was also a gay bar, which it very well might be. My gaydar broke back during the meterosexual craze in ought five, so I wouldn't know. Still, even on a game day, it wasn't too crowded.

You didn't mention the extra high urinals. I am not tall but not short either, but I damn near have to stand on my tip toes to avoid trying to arc my stream in those fuckers! And my nuts still sit on the rim. God that place sucks.
Also I was there on St Patricks day once and ordered a Guinness. The (hot) waitress went over to the side of the bar and poured it out of a pitcher. Shit Hole.

Nick,
Check out the sidebar. Full Schilling was indeed one of our victims.

Wow, good call on the urinals. How can you read about the specials that aren't for the night you're there when you're too busy trying not to piss all over your pants and shoes.
