Women's softball will be cancelled because of Softball Girl, the rotund (but not fat) "gal" with an ambiguous sexuality and a penchant for hitting frozen ropes to the power alleys.
I hope beach volleyball is not cancelled. When it was first introduced, I was shocked and appalled, but after giving it a chance, it's a pretty damn captivating sport.

I applaud your efforts to keep up. Had a busy spell at work that curtailed my activity for a while myself (the intraweb tubes don't reach my house).
I love me some beach volleyball, by the way and for more than just the skimpy bikini's. May-Walsh are excellent athletes. Baseball and softball being excluded from the games is already a crime, not so much for America, but for countries like Cuba and Venezuela who may not have many other athletes in the games. A lot of smaller countries' baseball programs are reliant upon some of the funding they get via the Olympics to survive. Without the Olympics, one can expect the donors who make up the difference to withdraw support as well. Damn shame.
And I agree whole heartedly about the movies. When did a night out at the movie theater turn into the equivalent of sitting around the boob tube at home. For Crissakes, shut the fuck up. Also, when did it become okay for people to talk on their cell phone wherever and about whatever? I know everyone has one these days, but Jesus, I don't need to hear your life story and the life story of the douchenozzle you're talking to. Courtesy is truly dead.
Softball will be cancelled, yet such competitive events like Trampoline and Equestrian and PISTOL SHOOTING are Olympic sports.
Why can't pistol whipping be a sport?
The NRA keeps pistol shooting in the games. Yeah, I didn't even realize the trampoline was a sport until now. And why in the world does BMX need to be there. Isn't that what God created the X Games for?
The Olympics are ruining my life. I've been completely addicted to them this year, and I'm frickin' tired because of it (I know, I know).
Sand volleyball should very much be an Olympic sport, much more than say, synchronized diving? Really???

I'm not too upset with baseball. The best players are busy in the pro leagues whenever the Summer Games are happening. The World Baseball Classic will be a much greater spectacle to showcase the international competition.
Nutsack..you're treading on thin ground, my daughter is an equestrian, you try jumping over 5 1/2 foot jumps in the 100 degree heat with a helmet and wool jacket on with a 2000 lbs animal ready to fall and crush you at a moments notice. My daughter has been riding for over half her life and it takes skill, dedication and years of training to do it! The athletes ( horses included) train long and hard to do what they do..they are so good at it that they make it look easy. They will not cancel equestrian in the olympics...
