I actually think that Pakistan is the home to international terrorism... we need them onside, but the country is not progressive or democratic, and is sliding towards extremism, whilst at the same time, the rest of the globe is peppered with Pakistanis. What to do, eh?
I couldn't agree with you more Peter. The question really is - what to do with them. I believe that replacing Musharraf won't help us. It's hard to find dictators that you can have under your thumb afterall. He is at least attached enough to his own hide to realize which side he would have the worst time with. I am definately not leaning towards dangling any lollipops or carrots for them at this point of the game.
Agreed Kath...but it would appear they are sliding toward extremism...did ya see the flag burning ceremony that greeted our President?..nice touch eh?
