Hey, I posted a while back and you were less than polite in your response. Concerning this:
I'm sorry, I didn't mean any offence. I was actually trying to make a valid point - that most emotionally attuned people in the world care only about a select few deaths, and give no consideration to the real scale of the issue.
Also, I don't smoke crack. You can disagree with my opinions, but please don't be childish - I found that quite insulting. There are too many people throwing cheap insults around on the internet already, don't you think?
Excuse me Jerome, but when someone writes about Mothers Day and camping with the family and this post is commented by someone who writes, "3,508 people were killed on Britain's roads in 2003. Some old guy ran over the flowers placed at the roadside in their honour. Can we get a little perspective in here? Or is it wrong to force your perspective on others?" exactly how would YOU take them? Did you ever hear that it is considered courteous to comment about the contents of the post you are commenting on, instead of your own agenda? (Obviously, not...)
I don't know how many highway deaths there have been in the US this year ... just kidding...
Anyway - I opened comments to say congratulations on the raise AND on having your kids back home (at least the posiblity of them being back). My daughter recently moved into my basement and it has worked out well. We all have our 'space' with her down there and it's very nice having her here. I'll miss her when she moves back out.
I'll miss your posts. I have enjoyed reading them (although I usually just lurk). I hope you enjoy your hiatus, it's certainly understandable to need one. I'm still in the enthusiastic stage - but I've had enough hobbies to know that the enthusiams will die down aftr a while! lol
