Updating the situation here:

Two towns are reporting their emergency shelters are full, so many many people are being forced out of their homes. It continues to sleet and rain. My boys checked in - they were at McDonalds (who'd have thunk?) getting a Mickey D fix and were headed to Walmart for water and batteries. Water isn't an issue yet, but better safe than sorry. Both were in good spirits and laughing at my worrying over them. I reminded them that that is what mothers do best.
