I, too, love NPR. Thankfully, Wife is starting to share my passion. We travel locally alot on Saturdays, and I can tell you the line-up from 10am thru 8pm. I love all the slice of life stuff, but I also dig on the news stuff too. I have often perused their various websites just to see what everyone looks like.

I love NPR, too! I've taken to waking up to it these days, and I can't resist singing along to the "All Things Considered" theme song. And I love their webcasts of live shows. They did a Wilco one last year!

What I liked about this was how I could "hear" everything you mentioned. Seriously, you and Megs need to quit the day jobs and go write for "Marketplace."

NPR always makes my day. Last week, Libby Lewis reported on Lewis Libby, and I almost had a fucking heart attack in the car. I also love Lak Smao Sing, or however it's spelled, and really who cares how it's spelled, because I adore the way she says her name.

Jaek, Nabbalicious, thank you. It is really good programming, isn't it? And Nabbalicious, yes, I love the Morning Edition intro. I've often thought that someone should make a club remix of that. Oh, and of the Law & Order theme song. I mean, I would dance to it!
Darren, could you hear Soterious breaking in and going local? Because he really needs to get the clue that it's not the Soterious Johnson Show. It's Morning Edition. Show some respect. Also, Megs and I can't ever work for NPR, b/c we have normal names. Am I right or am I right?
Red, you've never listened to NPR? What a discovery you have ahead! OK, the good news is you have TWO solid affiliates up there in Beantown. WGBH and WBUR. Go to it!
Malia, yes! I think it's Lak Schmee Sing, though only phonetically. I have no idea how to spell her name either. I love how she's a little nasaly and always sounds mildly pissed off. She is great.

I love NPR. It is the only thing I will have on in my car. This drives the hubby and seventeen year old daughter CRAZY! But my two boys (7&10)share my love for it. They listen to it all night in their room. It is so relaxing to go to sleep to...and so peaceful to wake up to.

I failed to mention that the guy I'm seeing now wakes up to NPR, which totally won me over. SOLD!

So funny and all true. Umm, well, it seems like my love for NPR has already been made perfectly clear here. My new obession is "wait, wait, don't tell me" -- so entertaining. And Darren, every time NPR steers me wrong with the temperature in the morning I hear you saying "Soterious lied," with a shake of your head.

Teresa, your kids will thank you for it. I used to hate it but look at me now!
Malia, does he have a brother? Because I'd really like to meet him if so.
Megs, this is why we're friends, because you love me despite my dorkiness. And sometimes you partake in it too!
Red, let me know what you think!
