I feel your pain, Peach, but this isn't happening just at Costco. I wanted to buy all three seasons of "AD" for my brother last week, but Best Buy was carrying only the first two -- along with the complete series sets of "Prison Break." Bastards...
Hee! This reminds me of the time my dad, pissed of at Sam's Wholesale Club (the only warehouse store in our tiny town), announced to their customer service person, "FINE. I'm never shopping here AGAIN! Well...not for this kind of stuff, that is." His Voice of Anger was oh-so powerful there.
Wilman loves Costco. We even went to the one in Hawaii. His pretense was to get photos from our digital camera onto disk, but really he wanted to walk around and talk about what was different from our local Costco. Yeah. He's absurd.
I love Costco, too. Buying things in bulk just fills me with inexplicable joy.
But if I were a member, I would SO consider boycotting them (but probably wouldn't do it).
Ghost Whisperer? Seriously? Someone's watching that show? I understand your outrage, Peach. The only excuse I can muster is Costco maybe aims at the lowest common denominator (i.e., the general public), and if the general public was wise and witty enough to appreciate Arrested Development, then it wouldn't have been canceled, correct? There is injustice everywhere. We may just need to accept it, I fear.
Also, I have never heard of Henckel knives, but since you know about my history in the kitchen (or lack thereof), I can't imagine that surprises you too much.
Ok, so that does suck, but Veronica Mars is *so* good and does not deserve to be lumped in with Prison Break and One Tree Hill. Also, George Michael and Maeby guest starred in an episode during the second season.

I hope you've gotten the DVDs elsewhere by now; it really will give you this calm, zen feeling to have all 53 episodes within arms' reach. Ahhh...there they are.
I still haven't seen Arrested Development! I don't know what's wrong with me... I've lost track of how many people have told me I'd obsessively love it.
Also, I've never seen Prison Break, but I'm told they made it out. Where could the show go now?

Darren, Bastards indeed. I could only find season 2 at B&N, and then 1 and 3 at Target--but they didn't have season 2 there. But I'm still pissed at Costco.

Stefanie, YES, apparently someone is. Which is unbelievable!! Who is it? I want to know. The Henckel knives are just really good knives. I'll put it to you this way--they make me look for things to chop.
Julie--I keep hearing this!! Nabbs is a fan too. OK, ok, I'll check it out. Also, I love the girl who is Veronica. She's adorable.
Chickadee--really. Scout's honor. It was bizarre. And having the DVDs now really IS fantastic!
