Considering that there is a lot of independent, local music flowering at private-house-venues around the collegiate neighborhoods, this could become rather interesting. Every student neighborhood has one or two elder-town-folks who refuse to sell or move and who are sensitive to noise after 9p.m. I'm curious to learn how this is handled; maybe more venues a la Second Story will open to cater to the changing climate for bands-in-basements. This will also surely interfere with band practices and other pre-performance types of noise. I'd hate to see a noise ordinance quash a beautiful budding era in terms of Bloomingtonian music.
