Welcome back, I've been wondering where you went.
I was under the weather for a while. Didn't have the energy or stamina to do much more than lurk.
I am a 1st time reader & I have to agree on the cheapened life quote. I often think that society is so caught up in the "I want I gotta have it" syndrome that we are headed for a "Road Warrior" world. I find myself feeling guilty at times because I just let the knuckleheads pass on bye rather than explain to them the way life is. My mother always told me it will only get better, give it time. She was right for a while.........or maybe the wait has gotten longer.
I doubt if it will ever get any better. Maybe if we quit rewarding failure and mediocrity.
Maybe if we didn't give lunatic fringe minorities an audience.
Maybe if we actually followed the constitution.
Maybe if the NEA was concerned about education and not social agendas.
This could go on forever. I fear we are doomed and the enemy is within.
