Wow cool site

Not like this is my business, but I think custom URL(ing) Would be cool to learn.

Gravatar IB,

https://iWebFAQ.com/CustomURL has a complete article showing iWeb users a process of how to implement custom URL(s) into their iWeb site pages. If you are not a registered user please sign up to gain access to the tutorial, which should have a video for it coming soon :^)

Gravatar The new look of your homepage is cool. How did you get the menus to open up like that?

Gravatar Travis,

Thank you for the comment. The Ajax syntax for the drop-down menu's on iWebFAQ were developed using the new spry-menu feature available in Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.

Gravatar How did you make it where if you do iwebfaq.com/asdfasdfasf (or something that does not exist) bring up that notice this page does not exist.

Gravatar Good Question IB,

This technique is referred to as 404 page redirect. Unfortunatley this can not be set-up when Publishing to .mac

If you have a web host other than .mac there is a good chance they offer 404 error-page redirects and it's usually as simple as going to the 404 redirect prefernce pane on your host and inserting URL for the page you'd like displayed when a visitor lands on a page that does not exist on your site.

Gravatar Ok i will stop asking like crazy but did you hand code the login thing?

Gravatar The log In thing was difficult to implement into the site - it took a few days to get it to function correctly. There are many layers involved in the development process which basically involves creating a form, linking it to a MySQL Database Table, and syncing the database with a PHP script. This process is definitely out of iWeb's capabilities. You also need to have your site hosted on a server that supports PHP MySQL since .mac does not support PHP MySQL database tables.

Gravatar Hi I just LOVE your site! The banner is so cool and the comics you have for iWeb are funny. Being forced to pay kind of sucks and sometimes the music is distracting but it's OK. When is the iPhone thingy you are making going to be released?

Keep up the good work!

Gravatar Lots of Iweb info here, and great customer service!

Gravatar Thanks for the kind words, Gary, Emily, IB.

The iWebFAQ comics are newest addition to iWebFAQ.com and we are glad you enjoy them. More comics are scheduled to be released! If you have an idea you think would make a good iWeb comic please subit your idea via the iWebFAQ feedback-form.

Thank you for your interest in iWebFAQ.com hope to see you back soon!

:^)

Gravatar This site looks great and I look forward to learning lots.

Thanks,
Dan

Gravatar Love your site!

Gravatar Thank God for this site!! I have been struggling try to find a simple way to improve my sites.

I was getting frustrated with Iweb because it looks so easy but then when you want totry one more thing ....ARRGGHHH !!

I am going to try a bunch of your tips ... thanks again!

Gravatar Who are you and why are you charging for information that is free elsewhere?

Gravatar Roddy,

ALL information can be found for free elsewhere, some charge for the convenience of finding information. We thank you for your interest in iWebFAQ hope to see you back soon!

Gravatar I like how you have the mac theme on your site it looks really cool. I have a question though. How did you get the coverflow and dock like that on your site?

Gravatar FORUM IS DOWN

Gravatar Are there ways we can tweak html so the search engines can find our site?

Thanks or all the great tutorials...

Gravatar This instruction is VERY unclear:

"After you've recieved the html code for a Paypal purchase button you can copy the code into the Text Box "PAYPALCODEHERE" text you inserted the size of the button in iWeb v.1. Do this by Editing the HTML file. Repeat the process if necessary."

There is no previous mention of "Text Box "PAYPALCODEHERE" text you inserted the size of the button in iWeb v.1."

What does this mean?

In the previous iWeb I was able to copy the paypal button code into a html snippet, but this no longer works.

Can you PLEASE rewrite this part? I need to put buttons on my site. Thanks.

Oh, your website no longer recognizes my email or my URL, so I think something is wrong there.

Gravatar Hi.
Form for iWeb it's great idea, but I have a problem with "blank page" I mean I published to a local folder, but whean I'm trying to open "form_sent" in text edit, I don't see the HTML code but only a site like in browser. Can you help???

Gravatar Hi.
I've done it but now I have another problem, the last one, I think. Where and how to upload form_sent.php ?
