I agree with you totally. I'm still not sure as the right way to handle the entire process and responsibility of it all though.

They have turned flying into an even bigger circus than it was before,.. yet so many of our other soft spots are ignored?

$4700 = 4/1000 notes, 1/500 note and 2/100 notes is easy to carry in your back/shirt pocket. Not regular notes to carry around with you, but why did he get detained by officials in the first place? There's still people around who don't trust banks and have that hidden underneath the mattress or dug a hole in the garden to hide it, even if it was money earned by honest work.
