I have the misfortune of living in the same town as John Edwards, and I have been watching his nonsense for a while. I can assure you that his highest priority is getting elected. I am equally confident that he is absolutely clueless about all matters of national security and defense. Lightweight is too generous a description of this guy on such issues. He knows far more about expensive haircuts than how to keep the nation secure.
Some of us around here know that support the troops means doing something real and tangible to assist them while they execute their mission. Bring them home when the job is done, and give them whatever it takes to get the job done sooner vs. later. That doesn't seem too hard, now does it?
Give Victory a Chance.
If you support the occupation in Iraq, you should also enlist.
Make sure you ask Jack Army about it or someone you know who's in. They'll get $1k as part of the Army's referral program. Help them out!
Come on - that's not what Edwards meant; if you ask me it is about time this war was ended; it is not making us safer or more secure...so why should any more soldiers die needlessly. why make more families suffer for no reason? wake up and bring them home now. I plan on celebrating Memorial Day by calling my senators and telling them just the same. And I may walk down the road and shake Edwards hand for his courage in saying what he believes.
