First of all I want to say thanks for your blog its great I've found a lot of useful links here for professional development and great links to other great mil blogs also. I agree with the duh factor on this one. I was prior service active duty, got out went Guard, was pigeon holed into some title 10 activations, then used the RC to AC program to get back active. I think its a great program even if they do not deside to stay active they can use that experience gained on Active and take it back to their unit. Something that makes sense, I almost had heart failure. Hooah.

My daughter was active AF for 18 months and then went Air Guard for a year and is now Army Guard while attending Army ROTC. Army had so much more to offer her that she couldn't turn it down. School is paid for and she is really enjoying it. Think her brothers appointment to West Point may have something to do with it ...

We are happy yo now be civilian again, but we throughly enjoyed serving our country and our country serving us. I wish more people realized how much the military life has to offer. I think any program that makes it easier for those who want to serve our great nation is a great program.

Seems funny, that despite the media and certain school's best efforst the military in general have no problems recruiting.

I agree it is great news the Army is able to expand its size in the middle of a war that a portion of the general population objects to strongly.

However, the media doesn't like to concentrate on the fact the Army is meeting its recruitment goals. Instead, the MSM would rather say the Army has lowered its standards to meet the recruitment goals. The implications being we are returning to the Army of the late 1970s with the lower standards rather then the force we have today.

Its nice to have other sources of information then the MSM to get the whole story. Keep up your good work please.
