Interesting, those who generally hate the idea of a national health care program want their health care to be, well, national.

I cannot imagine he will require people to pay for their own care of service related injuries. I think his proposal is more about private insurance rather than the public type today. If the Government paid the premium you would not want private insurance?

Kevin, I don't want MY health care to nationalized. I think it is only fair that the government that send someone to war pay for the treatment needed by a cause of that war. I am not injured and therefore don't need national health care for the rest of my life. But a guy that lost his leg because our government sent him to war needs health care and DESERVES it for life.

It's the least we can do. Wouldn't you agree?

Gen Shinseki waited all of about two days after he retired to join the BushHitlerCheneyBurton anti war crowd and start bashing the war. That and the beret earned him the nickname Shitnecky in the circles I ran in. The man lost the faith of vets a long time ago so it's really no surprise that he's onboard with this.
