Thanks for your link to Dawn's Early Light. However, I do believe we differ on the root causes of the protests and where they may be headed.
I have argued on my blog that the French socialist policies are mainly to blame for creating an economic environment where rioting is likely given any ethnic/religious group. With unemployment for over a decade of above 25% in many of these communities, it is no wonder there is tension between the communities and the police. It is not much different from the Rodney King/LA Riots in the early 90s.
French socialism is a job killer. Any community that is without adequate opportunities for jobs is going to create a the tinder needed for a riot. The death of the teenagers had nothing to do with religion.
That being said, I do believe that radical Islam elements will make use of the riots to further their recruiting aims at disillusioned, unassimilated youth.
That will be the largest problem of the riots.

That's fine Bill civil disagreement is where answers come from ... but as of today, at least my wife said she heard that reported on FoxNews, the riots have spread to Germany, Holland, and Denmark ... that my friend is a "horse of a different color."
France can be blamed for a lot of things but not for immigrant unrest in bordering nations.
And as for the jobless rate, history past and history future will show that the rate would be high even if jobs were made available.
Far too many Muslim men believe that world domination will bring them riches and ease, far to many are willing to wait.
Finally somebody not dancing around the issue. The problem IS their culture, if they could do better they would have. Send in the troops, shoot anybody arab who resists, gather the rest and toss em out of the country, the internal problem will be solved just like that.

Support for such far-right views in a country that has such a large immigrant population, is the cause for this unrest.
Both Islamic and Jewish immgrants are discriminated against and are treated as an under class.
Any country that allows a man like that to do so well in the presidential polls has issues with racism.
Please don't align yourself with the views of that man.

I'm not sure exactly what you read in my post that would give you the idea my views might.
Perhaps you read what you wanted to read. My views are not kneejerk and not "far-right" ... show me where you see them to be so?
