Please note that this is not the first disaster involving oil industry. We had quite a few problems earlier with Pertamina (RanduBlatung-Cepu...gas blowout) and many others. This Porong incident is somewhat exaggerated by mud flow.. while most blowout involving high flow of inflammable gas - hence big fire, but no mud. More trouble to come with such low standards in well construction and poor practices - remember we have lots of oil and gas well in indonesia, particularly old wells in Java. Even a good well can leak over time, gas seeping through, and pipes corroded. Just like people :D
