It is a GUARDIAN story. I saw Wayne Newton and the civilian head of the USO on Fox the day before this story came out. They said stars are showing up who disagree with US foreign policy (Al Franken and Robin Williams in particular). So theer.

I know Don, and I'm aware that some are going. But the head of the USO is saying that he's having a hard time getting name people, that's what pissed me off.
To re-iterate, these low-lifes rake in millions of the American people and can't be bothered to go to Iraq?
The Guardian is the (British Enquirer) and strictly anti-American…Please, never quote the Guardian. If you want to be ashamed of something be ashamed of quoting them!

To Mr. Ennis, when I hear Mr. Newton repudiate his direct quote, which I also saw in USA Today and two other papers. I'll take back what I said.

I couldn’t care less about Hollywood or the stars as you call them…I think that they are all useless! I just hate to see anyone quoting the Guardian. It is a garbage publication!!!
