Unique and very interesting, Lisa. Much like with illegal immigration, I think that's when people really sit up and start listening about something...when it actually gets debate, consideration and action from both sides of the aisle, rather than a yawn and a party-line vote.

I think this is an incredibly bad move, for the same reasons that Silvera v. Lockyer was a bad move. There is still a liberal majority on the SCOTUS. If this goes to the SCOTUS, they are almost certain to uphold Roe v. Wade, and then stare decisis will carry even more weight down the road when we do get a constructionist majority -- and it will be less likely to be overturned.
