It is getting more dangerous to voice your opinion against criminals in this country, and it is only a matter of time before true violence breaks out and a race war starts.
Standing for law and order is now a dangerous past time, it seems, and truly racist groups like MEChA and teh Brown Berets have the MSM on their side. Expect the spin to favor them, even when they start it, which they always do.

I still think a well-designed bounty system for turning illegals (of any race or culture or national origin) in for deportation would be a good addition to any border security steps.
Between a bounty paid to citizens with no ties to hiring or transporting or enabling illegals, a GOOD fence (with GATES for proper entry--a way for people who genuinely want to immigrate and integegrate into the U.S.), etc., thrre's no reason we could not have the best of both worlds: a secure border and "new blood" in immigrants who are willing to genuinely assimilate in the old melting pot model.

You are so right, JimmyB. The MSM drools in wait for a story about Minutemen Behaving Badly. Yet there we were yesterday, in the middle of a melee with two of our older members being ganged up on and attacked.

Not my issue, I'm not Mexican and have no desire to become a Mexican citizen.My grand parents came here from Italy and Poland....legally. I don't get where these people feel like that have some special right to be above the law. What sickens me to a much greater extent is the fact that as a white, blue collar, middle class, barely making it CITIZEN, I have no right to point out the obvious, or I'm called a racist.

Here we have a group of people, the Minutmen, who patrol the border with guns, threatening, intimidating and illegally detaining (read:kidnapping) people as a matter of routine. What do you right-wingers expect? You think you can provoke people forever and not get a reaction? I have as much sympathy for the schoolyard bully who finally picks on the wrong kid and gets his butt kicked. You reap what you sow.
Mark Twain was a open socialist, so don't misrepresent a quote from him to further the Minutemen's cause. What's up with the guy's comment at the top of the list threatening a "race war"? That's messed up. The Minutemen are vile people, or just sometimes extremely misguided individuals. And don't give me this, "I'm just standing by the law" nonsense. Slavery was legal, and women weren't always allowed to vote, but that didn't make it right. Laws aren't always correct, and this society still has a ways to grow. Oh..and I've seen the Minutemen speak a few times...and I've seen plenty of blows from your side as well..women getting pushed down, elderly folk getting spit on...Let's not call the kettle black, boys. You know good and well that you can't account for the actions of everyone in your group without a guilty tingle.
