This is nothing new for Dick Morris. The reason his argument doesn't win me over is because it's only based on strategy. He thinks Republicans should embrace "immigration reform" because it might make more Hispanics vote for them. That argument seems too amoral to me.
I find him annoying also. He likes to hear himself talk, especially about Hillary. I've had enough of partisan strategy. I don't care who comes up with good solutions, I just care that solutions are found.
The "Natural Republican" argument has always made me giggle. Sure, it's a natural fit for those coming from Socialist governments to suddenly become anti-statist, sure!
Before any Republicans get too excited about the prospect of all these future Hispanic evangelicals voting for the GOP, we should perhaps check out how evangelicals vote in Mexico. They overwhelmingly support the socialist PRD.
