The South Korean government issued 3 apologies on behalf of all Koreans. They held vigils, church services, mournings, and sent letters to the victims families. That wasn't even necessary because the fact that the guy was Korean had nothing to do with it. Did race have anything to do with the teens who attacked Columbine High School ? They were white you know, should we all despise white people after that?

Koreans were upset about the two little girls being run over by a tank because the soldiers involved were not reprimanded at all. The South Korean government did not issue a warning statement, they issued apologies.

"If we'd thrown all you corrupt ingrates out a year ago, 32 of us would be alive today" Did you know that at least 6 of the victims were Asian Americans?

You act as if there haven't been any horrible crimes committed by white and black people.

Race does not make a person good or bad.

You know Timothy McVeigh killed 168 people in Oklahoma. He was white... should I hate you now because you're white?

I feel deeply SAD. We koreans are really sorry for the innocent victims. And I do apologize about this massacre as a Korean. I'm a military wife. And we appreciate U.S.assist to our countury.

Gravatar "Damn! Now that's a scathing letter done American proud!" I hope that was your sarcastic side getting to the best of you.
"You cannot prevent the birds of sorrow from flying
over your head, but you can prevent them from
building nests in your hair," a philosopher once said. Think long and hard about this one Jake.

Gravatar Hey Minnie,

There is no need to apologize. I'm not angry at South Korean folks in general, the young man at Vtech was not representing South Korea. I'm simply angry about those who assume Americans are going to start killing folks because their skin is a different color.

Pizzle, I have no idea whatsoever what you're talking about. Agree, disagree, it was an awesomely scathing letter!

Gravatar Did you know that the issue about the soldiers who killed the school girls was not just that they killed but also that Korea had no legal right to exercise on the American soldiers inside Korea? Women are raped and the soldiers get out of it without being punished for their crime. If Cho were still alive, would you say that he would be sent back to Korea without being punished under American legal system?

I see that you guys are so ignorant and selecting what you perceive. South Korea's president issued 3 or more apologies to Americans and the victims. And South Korea even sent a letter of condolence and deep regrets to the American government. Ambassadors of Korea went to Virginia Tech and said that "all Koreans must bow their heads and apologize for this horrible incident." South Koreans are feeling horrible and guilty of this happening because of the collective mindset that led to the Anti-American demonstration once. Koreans are NOT just fearing for the backlash. What the hell is your problem? If you've got a brain, READ THE ARTICLE. Crappy little country? oh, yeah. so what HAVE you done to make this country big? Are you of any use to the U.S.? Considering your lack of judging ability and logic, I think not.

Now, do you want me to send you all the articles that I have read so far that talk about this national sense of guilt and remorse? I will send you the link if you are interested at all, but I doubt it because based on your post, you are the kind that just judges without thinking or reading well in advance and your stupid friend named Craig Nelson. Live in your own bubble like that forever. Who cares about the people from the "crappy little country," right?

Gravatar Also, Cho has been in the U.S. ever since he was 8. He spent 15 years of his life in the U.S. Don't you think that makes him more American than Korean?

So 32 of you would be alive today if you'd thrown all us corrupt ingrates out a year ago? Now, this logic is indeed justifying the kind of fear that Koreans have at this point about the backlash. You guys are connecting it to his nationality or ethnicity. Why, Thank you for reassuring Koreans that our fear is justified.

Gravatar "There is no need to apologize. I'm not angry at South Korean folks in general, the young man at Vtech was not representing South Korea."
-> you are lying. As a response to this email, you agreed by saying "crappy little country indeed!" You are absolutely relating this incident with South Korean people in general when you say a country as a whole is crappy.

"I'm simply angry about those who assume Americans are going to start killing folks because their skin is a different color."
-> Oh really, you laugh at his comment on throwing us out and you don't think the skin color matters here? When did Koreans say Americans will be "killing" Koreans? Since when the definition of backlash became "killing"? I've read posts that just because of this incident, some co-workers started avoiding Korean workers and five students quit Tae Kwon Do because they don't want to be taught by a Korean. Are they NOT a definite evidence of backlashes? Do you even know what LA riot was about? Don't you think there is a justified reason behind all the fear that Koreans in the U.S. are going through?

Just because you were not born as Korean, Asian, or even a minority(I cannot imagine a person from a minority group being this ignorant so I'm assuming you are not one), don't brush it off.

Gravatar craig nelson you are a complete idiot, were you in korea between the years of 2002- 2005 i was and your over dramatization is quite ignorant. The reason for the whole controversy was that the american soldiers were immune from DUI tests and immune from all prosecution. you are simply a racsist who had the opportunity.

Gravatar You're a disgusting racist.
The South Korean gov. did indeed apologize, smart one.
Cho was one-of-a-kind. He does not represent all SKoreans, fool.
I guess if a black guy killed some illegal immigrants then he should be sent back to Africa, huh?

Gravatar Or better yet, since white Americans killed Native Americans, I guess we should all go back to Europe. OOh great

Gravatar "Crappy little country"???? It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant Americans are of any human existance outside their own state, let alone country.
You might want to 'Wikipedia" South Korea to see, the W-5 (who, what, where, etc) about this country.
I'd fear its potential be kinder. Your next boss or at least paycheck could be from this country.
