Nope, this is more in line with making the punishment fit the crime. I think every time an illegal immigrant is caught attempting to cross the border illegally they should spend one week on a 'clean up' detail removing the endless piles of crap they are fouling our border with.
How will that work if the mess is on the Mexican side of the border?? Do we also want Mexicans doing community service in our country? Or are you going to reduce it to the mess they make once they are on our side of the border?
If that's the case, do you really think it is a good idea to give them a good idea of the lay of the land so they know the area next time they decide they want to try and cross the border?
They're pretty nasty. Now, what could be more fair than those who make the mess clean it up?
Pay a fine and do some time. If they are harmless....give them amnesty.
When I mentioned once that we had lived at the border and seen these first hand, Hannitized, after drinking a Slurpee to quickly and getting a brain freeze, demanded to know why I didn't immediately resign my position at the ranch and dedicate my life to cleaning up these areas.
No, I said if you spent time with those vigilantes you should have cleaned up the mess instead of taking pictures of it. Because if you didnt than you really dont care about the mess. You see I belong to the SurfRider Foundation. That means, when I complain about the mess most Americans make on the beach...I also clean it up. Donkey.
Uh, doofus? Perhaps cuz I didn't make the mess?
Oh, and I am the selfish one? Spare me.
You are nothing more than a phony who uses mock outrage to anger others. It's lame. Lame!
Again, there is nothing unfair about asking those who make the mess, to clean it the hell up!
Not in general. But what about the legal issues of crossing the Mexican border?????

So, you're seriously arguing that it would somehow be unfair to ask those who make the mess to clean it up?
I'll need more details to make the diagnosis.
As to the border issue? Do I give a shit? We are wayyyy to respectful to Mexico as it is, and undeservedly.
Let me explain to you how the conversation should go...
US: We'd like to clean some areas on the border which may require some crossing.
Mexico: No
Mexico City: Boom!

Jake. I made it very clear that it wasnt "unfair". I also made it very clear that it was a dumb idea because of the sensitive nature of having our government officials cross their borders.
As to the border issue? Do I give a shit? We are wayyyy to respectful to Mexico as it is, and undeservedly.
Uhh...considering we stold their land the first time by crossing borders....i think they have a historical reference that makes the concern a valid one.
But I would agree we have been more than respectful.

That sounds very Machismo....and very silly for numerous reasons. Take your medicine Jake.

hannitized? You are completely insane and make no sense. i have not heard anything out of your our Jakes mouth that made a case in the comments. Make your case and get rid of the emotional stupidity.
i know Jake actually is informed on this issue, i have no idea of yours hannitized, but that in it self is ridiculous. Now do you have a pint, that has any value on the subject?
Sory, Jake, but you response was not what i would expect from you. I expcet you are completey exhausted over the whole issue, which is understandable.
Oh, and if you want to use that against me? they have no legal right to be in this country; that is law.

S'okay buddy, thanks for dropping by! Sorry you're not feeling well.
H? I think the massive hypocrisy of Mexico all but tossing millions of their citizens over our border then getting pissy about us putting out a fire on thier side of border tells me all I need to know about how seriously I take thier concerns.
When they start caring about our laws I will reciprocate magnificently, until then?
BOOM!

Oh, and feel quite free to peddle the "stolen land" argument elsewhere as well. It is at best patent nonsense. It's hard to accuse one of theft when the "injured" party is holding a receipt for , is it $14 million in mid 1800's dollars? in thier hot sweaty hands.
And of course if you knew your history you would know that Mexico sold us another chunk and then tried to sell us Baja. So clearly at the time they weren't all that broken up.
You may not like how we got the land, but it was legal, and we all know how important legality is to you buddy!
Here's a good example of leftist revisionist history pal, make a note.
