Although Palin would drive moderate Republicans away from John McCain, these moderates will probably still show up and vote. To get the far right to come to the polls and support Republicans in general, they needed someone off the reservation like Palin to support. A stroke of genius>?? but is it enough to save a few congressional seats? Maybe. For me - I want Palin nowhere near the top slot. I don't think she has the right make-up to lead our country and it has made me very reluctant to vote for McCain. Maybe I just will not vote.<br /><span class=\"byline\"> Wonder Wonder | 10.14.08 - 10:14 pm | <a href=\"#252621\" title=\"Link to this comment\">#</a></span></p><hr /></td></tr><tr><td class=\"MessageCell\"> <a name=\"252625\"></a> <p><img src=\"http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=90f7cb81609a808045055d90e4472f29&amp;default=http%3A%2F%2Fec1.images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FG%2F01%2Fx-locale%2Fcommon%2Ftransparent-pixel.gif&amp;rating=PG&amp;size=28\" alt=\"Gravatar\" title=\"Gravatar\" style=\"padding: 1px; margin: 2px; float: right;\" class=\"gravatar\" />Just think, a few years ago, we were writing off the Democrats and nw it looks like wecouldwrite off the the GOP for at least a couple of years.<br>It's not conservatives, it's the RINO's who refuse to take a stand for conservatism and would rather play with the democrats. Unfortunately, the economy crashed and McCain abandoned his base when he went with Palin. If he had chosen a far more experienced righty, then he might of had a stronger hand. However, McCain's choice of Palin brings in to question his judgment. As liberal as Obama is, he has cloaked this liberalism well enough to attract the \"swing vote\" center while McCain with his choice of Palin has driven this \"swing vote\" center away.<br /><span class=\"byline\"> Wonder Wonder | 10.15.08 - 4:04 am | <a href=\"#252629\" title=\"Link to this comment\">#</a></span></p><hr /></td></tr><tr><td class=\"MessageCell\"> <a name=\"252635\"></a> <p><img src=\"http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=90f7cb81609a808045055d90e4472f29&amp;default=http%3A%2F%2Fec1.images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FG%2F01%2Fx-locale%2Fcommon%2Ftransparent-pixel.gif&amp;rating=PG&amp;size=28\" alt=\"Gravatar\" title=\"Gravatar\" style=\"padding: 1px; margin: 2px; float: right;\" class=\"gravatar\" />\"McCain abandoned his base when he went with Palin.\"<br>That is just crazy.
