Publius, you know that I am as down on corrupt Democrats as I am corrupt Republicans. They both ought to be thrown in jail. They are both robbing their constituents.
But it is sort of interesting to see Wigderson calling the kettle black. I like that part of it.
It is what it is. If you don't like it, change the system. Or keep paying the price.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! It's the ATTACK OF THE WEALTHY OUT OF STATE HOMOSEXUALS AIIIGGHGHHH!!!!!
Ok I'll make you a deal I'll call the GL Victory Fund and tell them to stop if you call all the conservative groups outside of CA who are donating money to Prop 8.
The SAME groups that poured massive amounts of money into WI supporting the same sex marriage ban there.
Apparently out of state money is only a bad thing when it isnt for a cause you agree with?

Yes, Dave, there are other moments when Wigderson cheers the use of out-of-state money in even larger amounts than a few Assembly races.

James-
With all due respect and, you know I respect you.
This piece does sound a bit like the GOP Ass Caucus crying because someone else is younger, smarter and harder working than their same old/same old staff.
However, quite frankly, before they start pointing fingers at other people's donors, they should take a closer look at their own...
Because I'd like them to explain why Brett Davis' current campaign finance report shows about $3000 in donations from Maryland, Washington DC, Florida, and Michigan. Are they trying to buy me a state representative? Equally worrisome to me is the approximately $20,000 in out-of-district donations racked up by Brett from bigwigs from Alliant Energy, MG&E, Sentry Insurance, almost a dozen UWProfessors and administrators - as well as, several lobbyists. I don't really think any of them are spending their money to make sure my children and me or for any of the other lower middle class folks in Green County have a State Rep. who is looking out for us. And, I don't think you are naive enough to think that either.
Finally, regardless of one's stance on lifestyle issues, it is quite ironic (almost funny) that anyone would suggest Brett is going to defeat the legislation supported by the people you're writing about since two years ago he refused to take a stance on the Definition of marriage amendment out of loyalty to a "family member".
Sorry, James, I have to say, I think you're wrong on this one.

The facts speak for themselves. He has been targeted. If you want to say it's ironic, I'll agree. But I was only tipped to the one race. You can see it for yourself with the link I provided. And the pattern is easy to spot in the other races.

The right is not happy when their bribers are outbid by the bribers of the left, and vice versa. And both sides object to eliminating this system of bribery.
That you accept this blatant corruption is beyond me.

I'm willing to bet the point is moot in the 80th anyway. Waelti should be able to beat Wisnefske by double digits. He's just flat outworked her.
Whoever gets past next Tuesday will not get as near to beating Davis as Ringhand got in 2006.

Bribery? Calm down Jack take a couple of deep breaths it is called supporting the candidate who supports your causes. If the idea was bribery then we would see NRA-ILA donations to pro-gun control candidtes.
I get lots of solicitations to donate to candidates who do not represent me, even though I support their causes I file13 those solicitations. Our system of government is supposed to allow folks in their locales a wide lattitude to run their own affairs. Contributions from residents of the Haight-Ashbury district should NOT be allowed to candidates in Wisconsin.
If you can not vote for the candidate, you should not be allowed to contribute to the candidate.
