Now you're getting Wiggy with it

Neither Bill Savage nor Orville Seymer are residents of the district. This is why they had to amend their recall petition and add a resident to file. Took them a while too, since the 60 day clock started after they originally said it did.

It would have been real interesting to be the fly on the wall at the meeting where it was decided that Jim Sullivan was to get the lone Dem senator "get out jail free card" with regard to this budget.
Widgy, is there a handy, easy website out there that details the votes on all the various amendments submitted before the final senate vote? I dont' want to wade through pages and pages of stuff.

It is really simple. Sullivan told them he was voting no. No ifs, ands, nor buts.
I do not know why it is so hard for republicans to fathom that he felt it was a bad budget.

Word has it that Leah Vukmir was only going to run against Sullivan if he voted for the Dem budget so maybe that was a bigger motivator for him than the recall election. Regardless, with the top of the ticket expected to be more friendly to Republicans than it was in 2006, and with no goofy incumbent on the GOP line, this will be a tough seat to hold no matter who the Republican candidate is.

I live in Mr Sullivan's district and will gladly and vigorously support any recall effort of the man. He is so typical of the Tammany Hall Wisconsin Democratic machine that it will be a pleasure for me to become active in this effort.
The ostensible reason for the recall is the smoking ban vote. I'm not a smoker but I am revolted by this trampling of simple individual liberties so I am content to support the recall on that. But his mealy-mouthed votes on crucial social issues and his classic political hack's desire to lift as many dollars as he can out of the wallets of taxpayers (a proclivity shared by many Republicans as well) are my main reasons for wanting to rid the senate of him.
He also cheerfully supports the hacking to pieces of unborn children and then the next day presents himself at the Communion rail. Disgusting.
