Nonsensical comments, abuse, baiting, ranting and leftist stupidity will not be tolerated.
Muslims are getting bolder, they see every concession by the west as another example of weakness. For good insight into the Muslim psychology read 'The Closed Circle' by David Pryce Jones (Paladin 1990) and/or 'Beyond Belief' by V S Naipaul. I think the west is gradually becoming more au fait with schizophrenic Islam, but Islam is not learning any new lessons about the west.
The more ground we concede, the more they will take.
The Victorian "hate speech" law is as good a place as any to take a stand. As Evilpundit says, truth is no defence but the two convicted guys are in a great position to publicise this filth. The trick is to get the media to acknowledge it.
That's the problem, though, Keith. As much as they may acknowledge the wrongness of this legislation, they *like* the people (Labour) who have done it to them.
Their silence is tediously (and blindingly) predictable. . .
Can't anyone file similar charges against the mosque? Is there anyone brave enough to do this who lives in the area?

Dunno about "filing" charges, moderate--"placing" may be a better option.

And if anyone believes that, I'd tell them to go to Ground Zero in Manhattan for a reality check.
Sensible moderate: problem is, who would you bring the complaint against? Islam? In the case of the two Pastors, there was a head to hit (or two). Are the bookshop owners (the Mosque, its administrators, its clerics, its congregants) to be brought to account? You might try. Personally, I don't think you'd get anywhere. In this case, I think you simply have far too many heads. That is, of course, the problem in a nutshell.
You could start at the top; and get the top imams... there can't be too many of them, and even a small victory would send a clear message (i.e. getting them to stop carrying the books).
