Nonsensical comments, abuse, baiting, ranting and leftist stupidity will not be tolerated.

Right on JR, absolutely right on.
I'm glad things are getting back to normal so quickly there.
Unfortunately it is status quo in New Orleans and will be for the forseeable future.

Gravatar Could also be the vast difference in population between the two cities. Sorry, one city, and one town.

Gravatar You can blame the left for NO, all that welfare and sit on your ass while uncle sam wipes it for you. When disaster strikes, blame uncle sam.

Don't forget the liberals there only offered to punch the president, as if that was going to make any difference and blame it all on republican racism.

Here the public know, labour or liberal, its all the same crap, paper pushers are the same everywhere, better get on with the job.

Gravatar If it were just about numbers NO vs Innisfail, then you'd have to say there were alot more people around to help clean up NO.

The difference is between bitching that no one is looking after you, and doing what you can to help yourself.

Gravatar Some events simply should not be made the source of political debate; liberals vs conservatives. The damage left by cyclone Larry does not begin to compare to the devastation left in the wake of hurricane Katrina. Katrina left over 1,800 people dead throughout the Gulf Coast. Cyclone Larry, although causing a massive path of destruction, caused the death of one person. I agree that people shouldn't sit around on their bums waiting for the government rescue them. The people that chose to stay during the storm, were leaving their fate at nature's will. What will never be understood by most people of NOLA, is the lack of immediate aid directly after the storm. Everyone, from the president to mayor (republican and democrat alike), seemed more eager to displace blame for their political faux pas than to just get on with the clean up.
