Nonsensical comments, abuse, baiting, ranting and leftist stupidity will not be tolerated.

You would bloody think that obvious, KG. However there are too many people who think bones get broken by more than sticks and stones. Pathetic.

Too right, Elijah.
But the regulation of speech leads inevitably to the regulation of thought and behaviour and that's what these people are really about, isn't it?

Ah the BBC again, i see they can spare a few moments from hiding reports of their bias and quashing programs about British military heroism.
But all in the interest of fairness you see, would be nice if these ratbags could be relocated out of the UK and taxpayer funds withheld, you know, in the interest of fairness.

village idiot's idea of "free speech" is to leave idiotic and insulting comments in someone else's blog.
Yup, sounds like the left allright.

"Nonsensical comments and trolling will result in something you may not expect."
There is ample warning.
Free speech to the left also means every one has to listen to their irritating crap.
Having said that no one actually stopped he/she/it from having their say. The REAL editors just helped the readers gain some insight into the background of the The Village Idiot.

Still on the left's view of Free Speech, they also seem to think it means that they can say whatever the hell they like without consequence, but when it comes to conservatives or the affiliated right that doesn't apply.
But then who ever said the left had to make sense?

Spot on Elijah and if we refuse to listen, then we're crapping all over their rights, like small children really.
They also want to live life without any consequences.
By the way, it's not just the internet the leftists are trying to push into line, listen to this.
Leftists understand that they are losers when it comes to talkback radio, and so they'll try anything to take that medium away from the public as well.

Yeah I think it's called Air America or something, losing money like a Zimbabwean investment. You'd think with all the billions of leftists out there, some of them might tune in to support their fellow travellers.

It was a matter of time before the threatened Left sat down and started thinking up ways to muzzle the free blogosphere. The rule of the elite minority attempts to silence the voice of the people yet again.

There's nothing wrong with bloggers choosing to come together to draw up some rules.
Where the problem would arises, would be if it became compulsory by new government regulation to sign up to this code.
Let the market decide which types of blogs will flourish - regulated or unregulated.

"Where the problem would arises, would be if it became compulsory by new government regulation to sign up to this code."
That is those folks over at the BBC would love to have pommy, as long as you tow the line then you're ok.
In my view, if some bloggers want to set up their own rules and what not, well go ahead then.
To me whoever owns a site can do whatever they want to on their blog, if i don't like someone's blog or what they say, then i don't go there.

That's exactly what i'm saying.
Actually you should spend some time visiting the BBC's excellent Have Your Say site. It reflects the views of its readers and viewers and is nearly always diamterically opposed to the editorial view of the BBC.

Listen up, idiot - you have your own blog - go and entertain your 'free speech' over there. Of course, we're all very well acquainted with the left's tolerance of same.
Your mindset has form.

Agreed, Pommy. It's fun to read. Must drive them nuts.

I am a free speech absolutist. I know, I know, there is an awful lot of filth out there, but where do you draw the line?
More importantly, who do you trust to draw the line?
Someone once said something like to fight bad free speech you respond with good free speech & more of it. That sums up my point of view.

Just on the left's forays into talkback, heard of this talkback radio host Imus?
Well he's been fired by CBS over his recent racist remarks. When I first heard of this, I didn't know he was a leftist; you wouldn't be able to tell that from the news stories though, I wonder why, they wouldn’t be biased would they? But apparently he gave Democrats a soft run on his program.
See here, now Democrats are lamenting the loss of Imus, this racist was the best they could come up with in talkback radio. It’s sad.
