okies. I'm not sure why you think an attempted hijacking and the knifing of two pilots wouldn't rate a mention.
And know for a fact that this woman has in the past been seen wearing a hijab. As I know that she had a very hostile attitude towards someone who was trying to help her.
Now, you'll just have to take my word on those last two points, since that came from someone who just gave me the information and I'm not prepared to name that person.
Daily shootups in the States don't get a mention? How sad. This isn't a newspaper or television station, which people might have some expectation of "balance" from. (not that they often get it, but that's another argument entirely) Our position is crystal clear and unashamedly partisan.

As I read somewhere a while back, you may survive a train or road crash, but you've got a near 100% possibility of dying in a plane crash.
As a small aside, since I have a brother who is a pilot, I tend to find stuff like this very interesting.
Also interesting is the snippet about women in hijabs monitoring xray machines at some of our smaller airports.
The pilots aren't real impressed with that one, nor am I.
After all, if a relatively devout muslima sees something that might be cause for concern in the kaffir world, will she report it if it's being carried by a muslim?
If this story doesn't rate mention, why is it the one story that is getting the most attention and comments?
Nik is right that it it rates because it relates to air safety, which is supposed a very high concern these days. But this person was still able to get on the airplane with a knife and attack the pilots in the cockpit despite security measures. (Even though she was wearing clothing that might cause most people with common sense to pay closer attention.)
These types of incidents with Muslims happen every day. Even when people die, they are downplayed. We are told that they don't really rate mention and that it had nothing to do with Islam (if we are told anything at all about the religion of the perpetrator). We look the other way to be tolerant and politically correct. In fact we try to accommodate an incompatible subculture within our own and decry assimilation. But because we ignore it, nothing gets done to stop it.
These people continue doing these things because they think they work to achieve their goal, and the proof can be found in people like the Archbishop of Canterbury, who thinks that Sharia is inevitable in England.

ar, I worked with a young German guy recently who was one of the most anti-American people it's ever been my misfortune to meet.
Over a period of months, he talked about his "education" and it consisted of a relentless barrage of leftist tripe which he swallowed whole.
Lines such as "the U.S. is the biggest terrorist of all" and "American troops committed more atrocities than the Russians during WW2" were absolutely unremarkable to him.
