Whoever JR is, he's taken one hell of a conceptual leap - from a critique of a grammar guide to an inference that there's a connection between poor grammar and political persuasion. What's the thesis? What's it got to with the Basques? Sheesh!
Leftism's domination of the education establishment is well documented, Bandcoot. It is not necessary, nor would it be possible to start every discussion of education with a history of of its leftist slant. What is note worthy is that education's response to criticism about its failure to properly educate our children is typically that it’s not a big deal. Education objects to teacher competency tests and minimizes the need to teach the basics, but zealously defend their efforts to promote leftist doctrine. Our children get condoms, showings of an "Inconvenient Truth", or a trip to the "The Vagina Monologues", but when it come to something that the schools should be teaching, such as English, they are told that a noun is a pronoun. After all it’s no big deal, and maybe teacher might discuss it over lunch.
But..BUT! Teachers are so superior don't you know....
