I was like that once. Then I grew up.
These kids will too.

Actually, I think young people now are more grown up than were those of the 60s and 70s generation. They are more involved in business and less interested in politics. I wouldn't take too much notice of surveys!

I hope so Brett, i remember there was one scene in the campaign with teenage girls rushing over to KRudd fawning over him and taking pictures..
I heard later that it was staged, anything folks, anything to win.

I went to high school in Krudd's district and remember him delivering a speech to assembly. Was a boring speech and I can't for the life of me remember what he specifically said.
Anyway most of the ex-students will be voting howard from what I gather, as the school was a private school; and there the 'indoctrination' couldn't be said to be leftist.

Furthermore to Brett's observation, seeing as the economic climate is good these days I think they will be wary about changing to KRudd. But that being said he has painted himself as an "economic conservative" which in Oz terms means continuing the middle class welfare system.

In 16 years the largest student year since the early 70s will graduate high school. The record birthrate has been put down to the Howard/Costello baby bonus, but also economic conditions and provisions for working mothers must be helping. I wonder which way those kiddies will lean?

And what is Malcolm Turnbull doing to try and save his "scalp"? Typical Liberal Party scare-mongering about the validity of his opponent's candidature. George Newhouse's candidature is legally valid - as supported by legal advice from one of Australia's top QCs. The surprise in all of this is the extent to which the MSM have continued to run with the story, which is an insult to the people of Wentworth and really only serves to distract us from the real issues, which include the Howard/Turnbull governments' inaction on climate change for 11 years.
The legal advice, plus a statement from George Newhouse himself on the matter can be found here: http://georgenewhouse.net

"...the real issues, which include the Howard/Turnbull governments' inaction on climate change for 11 years."
Yup, those warm days and cold winters are the Real Issues all right.
Heck, next to those, protecting our borders, killing homicidal primitive thugs, managing the economy, paying off the national debt and so forth pale into insignificance.
Perhaps John Howard's indifference and callousness can be summed up by pointing out that he still hasn't given polar bears the vote!
Geoffrey, you're an idiot.

Nice one panday, not that it'll make any difference with the angry pustule.
It's way beyond his one brain-cell, anyway don't expect to hear from him anytime soon, he'll be back around 4am, it's his MO, such a loser really, hanging around here till 4am biting his lips and making his hate filled ranting when everyone else is fast asleep, i guess it's a perk of loving off others backs.
He's getting a bit cocky now that his party looks to take the election next week, he mentioned to me a long time ago that he wanted to get a sex-change, so he might be excited at the prospect of getting the taxpayer to pay for it.

"And what is Malcolm Turnbull doing to try and save his "scalp"?"
And what are the NSW Greens doing to cover George Newhouse's backside, The Greens' federal leader, Bob Brown, decried the behaviour of his NSW colleagues yesterday after they sided with the State Government and voted to block the release of documents potentially damaging to Mr Newhouse. He said that in doing so, the Greens broke the party's long-held principle of transparency in government.
